GeoListen Privacy Policy

GeoListen (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the GeoListen mobile app.

We collect two main types of information:

• You may provide information when you contact us, create an account, or participate in support interactions (e.g., email address).

• Information about your interactions with the app, including:
• Game progress and scores
• Choices and activity within gameplay
• Leaderboard participation

Device information such as:

• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• IP address and geographic location (for analytics and service optimization)

• Certain features of the app rely on GPS or device location services.
• You control whether location services are enabled via your device settings.
• Location information is collected only if location services are enabled.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the app’s functionality and gameplay features.
• Display music content and manage leaderboards.

• Users retain ownership of audio or other content submitted directly through the app.
• By submitting content, users grant GeoListen a worldwide, royalty-free license to modify, display, and use the content solely within the app, consistent with the ToS.
• Audio sourced from third-party platforms remains the property of the original rights holders. GeoListen does not claim ownership.

GeoListen does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Information may be shared in the following limited cases:

• Third-party services: Integrations such as Apple Game Center or Google Play Games may receive limited information necessary to provide their services.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect GeoListen’s rights or safety.

• We retain anonymized or de-identified data for research and analytics purposes.
• Personal information provided for support or account purposes is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.

• We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
• No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Use of the app constitutes acknowledgement of this limitation.

• The app is not intended for children under 13.
• If you are under 18, parental or guardian permission is required, consistent with the ToS.

• You may disable location services via your device settings at any time.
• You may opt out of research participation (where applicable) through the in-app consent interface.
• You may contact us to request deletion of personal information provided directly to GeoListen.

• We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
• Continued use of GeoListen after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
